Creating a generation that influences culture.

The Next Generation Ministry exists to give hope to the NEXT generation of First Church, calling and equipping them to follow Jesus Christ. We believe that students are not just the future of the church, but the church here and now. We want to develop student disciples by training them to impact their world.

We Want Your Kids to Love Church

That’s why First Church is committed to creating a safe and fun environment where your children are taught about the Bible and Jesus through relevant, age-appropriate services. Our hope is to see a generation of children come to know God at an early age.

THE WAVE

YOUR CHILD'S FAVORITE DAY OF THE WEEK

KIDS church: first to fifth grade

Our services are designed to present the love of Jesus to elementary kids in a way that is exciting and makes sense to them. Every week they get to play games, experience dynamic worship, work on a Bible memory verse, learn an interesting object lesson, and receive prayer and make friends in a small group. We also give them a take-home devotional, which you can work through as a family during the week.

Preschool

Pre-K and Kindergarten

In our preschool room, children learn the Bible through age-appropriate activities like stories, crafts, media, and Bible action songs that reinforce Bible truths. They are also given the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with their friends and teachers in small groups.

FIRSTkids

Nursery: six months to 3 years

Our nursery rooms are well staffed and prepared with age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned every week. As our team holds your baby, we pray for them to know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference throughout their life.

Check-In

We take the safety of your child very seriously!

If this is your first visit, or you are a member, every child must be checked in by a parent or guardian and checked out by a parent or guardian after service.

SECURITY: Your child is important to us.

Every adult volunteer in our classrooms has a current background check on file. In addition, we have trained security officers and law enforcement on hand at each service. If this is your first visit, we need some personal information from you and a volunteer will assist you. This information is entered into our WAVE database to help maintain our secure check-in system. We use a security tag system for child check-in and check-out. The claim barcode you receive at check-in is unique to your family and scanned at check-out to receive your child.

You can be confident that your child is well-cared for and will have a great experience at THE WAVE!

FCYTH

Whether it is through student led City Crews, YTH Night, or just having fun, we know that we are better together.

Our Culture is Important to Us!

We want to create a safe environment for our Jr. High, High School and College students. We desire to develop, equip, and empower youth to impact and influence their generation. We believe this generation will be thriving and leading in the church.

Parents, thank you for checking out FCYTH!  Our team and the FCYTH Dream Team want to serve your family by mentoring, leading, and helping your young person to take important next steps toward Jesus as they walk through their time in Jr. High, High School, and College. This is a great place for your teen to find community, grow in their callings, and make a lasting impact.

What is Crew Night?

Our formally known 'City Crews' will now be named 'Crew Night'! Each night will be on a Wednesday beginning at 7pm and ending at 8pm. Food, fellowship, and teaching will be available. Crew Night is a powerful tool to help young people grow in their relationship with God and others.

YTH Night

On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday at 6pm of the month, middle school, high school and college young people across the city come together to connect, worship, and learn more about God. Our YTH Nights will be announced on our social media.
